Yesterday ‘Rakhi’ I was celebrating with children and women in a Seva Mandir shelter. Also I gave Rakhi (along with some rice, kumkuma, coconut and sweets) to my two indian brothers:). Raksha Bandhan – “the tie or knot of protection” is an ancient Hindu festival that celebrates the love and duty between brothers and their sisters (or brother-like friend’s). The sister ties the Rakhi on her brother’s wrist. This is very family feast. Spending this day with my indian friends was a great fun, new experience, a lot of lough but also a few very touching moments… Remarkable day.
